Stereophonics Rocked

I went to Birmingham NIA yesterday, I traveled up by car (about 2/3 hours journey) and stayed in a hotel and came back today arriving home about 3ish. After realising that the doors opened at 6 not 7.30, two minutes before 6pm we started walking to the nia. When we got there we realised there was no need to have rushed and would have had time to get something decent to eat outside of the nia as the only food they had was burgers and chips so I ended up having very little to eat all day *rollseyes* Not that I was hungry, I never feel able to eat much just before gigs - depending on who it is I'm going to see. I guess it's the excitement. It started 15 or so minutes late but it was still only half full if that when the support act - the dead 60s came on. They were quite good although all their songs seemed to merge into one long one, although I have to admit I was more interested in seeing how long it was until Stereophonics came on at the time. After a 1/2 hour set ish from the Dead 60s and a break it was finally time for the Stereophonics. I was seated quite high up and although I could see the stage fine they did look quite small and my photo's aren't great. They did have big screens though which was handy not that my photo's of them are any better in fact they're worse! They sung a mix of old and new songs - some I knew the words, some I'm sure I've heard some when before and a few I hadn't heard. I've only got one of their albums (their most recent one) but I've liked all the singles they've released (well the ones I've heard anyway) and the songs that I hadn't heard before were upto the same standard as all the rest. Brilliant. Afterwards me and my dad walked back to the hotel, sat in the bar area for awhile (and my dad complained the music at the gig had been too loud *rollseyes* although in parts it I agree that it was but that's what you have to expect at things like that) before heading off to bed via the lifts. I don't know if it's just me but being in lifts or even near them makes me feel funny so I wasn't too pleased when I found out that was the main way of getting to and from the rooms but it was fine in the end and we weren't too high up.
I am very pleased I didn't have any money on me as every time I walked past the merchandise stall at the NIA I spotted something else I wanted - mugs, clothes, posters, badges, keyrings, underwear ect. In the end I decided just to get my dad to buy me a poster (which is huge and lovely and is going on my wall lol), a t-shirt - it took me awhile to decide which to get as there was a couple I liked but even though I got size small and skinny fit ( the smallest you can get) it's still a bit baggy on me !!! Although I guess that's my fault for being so skinny lol. I also got some badges which I'm using to decorate my school bag and show all my friends at school tomorrow where I've been at the weekend lol. Talking of school, I think I'm going to be quite tired unless I go to bed soon -I feel ill at the moment and have done since I got home earlier...Perhaps I could try and get the day off tomorrow...Nope I don't think It'll work *rollseyes* lol. Overall a great weekend. Can't wait for another gig to go to, who ever's it is lol :-)
