Bargains, decisions and awkward feet sizes

I had the day off school today as it was an inset day :-) I didn't do a lot - mainly coursework but I did go to tesco's and bought a stereophonics CD with 14 songs on it for under £4. Bargain. My mum later bought me a badge maker which was not quite so much of a bargain but after losing two of the five badges that I bought from the stereophonics gig last Saturday I wanted to make some new ones to personalize my otherwise plain and boring school bag. Although I am still looking for another bag to use for school but I'm not sure whether I'll find one anytime soon. Still haven't found any school shoes either so am using my ones from last year (that have nearly have a hole in the bottom). The trouble is my feet are between a 5 and 6andd aswell as that I don't want to wear leather ones which limits my choices dramatically. I'm sure I'll find some in the end, maybe not before I leave school though lol. I'm currently also looking for an outfit to wear to a wedding in October. Although the shoes that I'll want for that will probably be sandal type shoes so won't be as difficult to find any that fit :-)

Going back to the subject of badges I might get a chance to buy the stereophonics ones that I've lost, again as I'm looking into going to see them again in Decemberr as they are at lots of places near me. I will have to think about it though as it's notbeenn long since I went to see them kast but my reasons for wanting to go again, aswell as the fact they rocked last time, are that they may not do another tour for awhile. I don't now how often they do them if I could look a couple of years into the future and see what gigs will be when this decision would be alot easier. Although I'm not sure my dad will be too pleased to take me again although this time, as it would be closer, I would go with a friend so he wouldn't actually have to o go into it. Decisions, decisions...

Stereophonics Rocked

I went to Birmingham NIA yesterday, I traveled up by car (about 2/3 hours journey) and stayed in a hotel and came back today arriving home about 3ish. After realising that the doors opened at 6 not 7.30, two minutes before 6pm we started walking to the nia. When we got there we realised there was no need to have rushed and would have had time to get something decent to eat outside of the nia as the only food they had was burgers and chips so I ended up having very little to eat all day *rollseyes* Not that I was hungry, I never feel able to eat much just before gigs - depending on who it is I'm going to see. I guess it's the excitement. It started 15 or so minutes late but it was still only half full if that when the support act - the dead 60s came on. They were quite good although all their songs seemed to merge into one long one, although I have to admit I was more interested in seeing how long it was until Stereophonics came on at the time. After a 1/2 hour set ish from the Dead 60s and a break it was finally time for the Stereophonics. I was seated quite high up and although I could see the stage fine they did look quite small and my photo's aren't great. They did have big screens though which was handy not that my photo's of them are any better in fact they're worse! They sung a mix of old and new songs - some I knew the words, some I'm sure I've heard some when before and a few I hadn't heard. I've only got one of their albums (their most recent one) but I've liked all the singles they've released (well the ones I've heard anyway) and the songs that I hadn't heard before were upto the same standard as all the rest. Brilliant. Afterwards me and my dad walked back to the hotel, sat in the bar area for awhile (and my dad complained the music at the gig had been too loud *rollseyes* although in parts it I agree that it was but that's what you have to expect at things like that) before heading off to bed via the lifts. I don't know if it's just me but being in lifts or even near them makes me feel funny so I wasn't too pleased when I found out that was the main way of getting to and from the rooms but it was fine in the end and we weren't too high up.
I am very pleased I didn't have any money on me as every time I walked past the merchandise stall at the NIA I spotted something else I wanted - mugs, clothes, posters, badges, keyrings, underwear ect. In the end I decided just to get my dad to buy me a poster (which is huge and lovely and is going on my wall lol), a t-shirt - it took me awhile to decide which to get as there was a couple I liked but even though I got size small and skinny fit ( the smallest you can get) it's still a bit baggy on me !!! Although I guess that's my fault for being so skinny lol. I also got some badges which I'm using to decorate my school bag and show all my friends at school tomorrow where I've been at the weekend lol. Talking of school, I think I'm going to be quite tired unless I go to bed soon -I feel ill at the moment and have done since I got home earlier...Perhaps I could try and get the day off tomorrow...Nope I don't think It'll work *rollseyes* lol. Overall a great weekend. Can't wait for another gig to go to, who ever's it is lol :-)

It's a mini adventure

No, I'm not going to talk about the mini adverts although I do find the one where it tells you to check if you have a real mini quite funny especially with the horse when the bloke says check for wheels lol. Anyway... what I am talking about is my own mini adventure, okay actually I'm just going to see the stereophonics but I am staying away the night lol, I've done my homework and washed my hair so all I have to do is pack a few things for the night and I'm ready to leave tomorrow :-D
This means I'll have something interesting to write about Sunday lol :-)
:-D

ps. The bag I was talking about yesterday, well I decided I didn't want to keep it in the end and it's going back. I will have another look and hopefully find a different bag that I really like not one that's just kind of o.k lol :-)

My new bag

I decided I didn't want to use the bag I originally bought for school anymore as it's not really big enough - and it drives me mad. It was only £5 so I decided I'd buy another one :-D lol - It's not perfect but it's ok. All the really nice ones are either too small or really big which is a bit annoying but this one will do I think. It was £15 though which I think is a bit expensive for a bag but as long as I use it a lot it's o.k, and it's not me who payed for it lol *rollseyes* :-)
-----------------------
Only a few more days until I go and see the Stereophonics :-) Although that does mean I'll prob be quite tired Monday as I'll be traveling back Sunday, also won't get much time for H.W ect. but it is only one weekend and next Friday is an inset day :-D

It's a bag/jacket thing

I recently seem to have become obsessed with bags and jackets - they're both items that I don't really need yet they are things that I don't have trouble finding - unlike shoes that never fit *rollseyes*. Luckily it's usually my parents with the money so I don't get an opportunity to buy all the bags and jackets that I see and decide I like as that would be a lot and I don't think I'd have enough room in my house. Although my mum recently bought a bag for herself which I may borrow in the future lol.
----------------------------------------
I went to my cousin's birthday party/ disco yesterday. It was good fun :-D, went on late and after taking some people home we didn't get home until gone 1 (so I think that gave me an excuse to not get up until 12 today ;-) ) and it was a good opportunity to wear my black skirt. I also got to take home a chocolate gateau (not sure if I've spelt that right) that didn't get eaten !!! Next weekend I'm off to see the Stereophonics but tomorrow it's school again (this weekends gone too fast). *rollseyes* Never mind, not that long until next weekend lol.

As I was out Saturday night I asked my mum to tape X-factor and watched it today - What were they thinking letting some of them through *rollseyes* and I do think they are a bit cruel to others - there are ways to tell someone they are not a great singer without being completely horrible. I agree with some that they put through though and am looking forward to seeing how they progress in the next round.

Back to the monotonous routine that is school

First day back at school today, and to start another thrilling year we had a rather long assembly (well about 20 mins actually) during which our headmaster talked a lot about how good the school looks now they've done a bit of painting. Hmmm, they've painted a few walls, knocked down a few walls and building and are building some new offices but the floors and wall that haven't been painted look just as dirty and I even noticed a hole in the ceiling with pipes exposed. They haven't sorted the lack of toilet roll issue either - first day back you'd think they'd have managed to put one in each toilet but nope and I wonder how long it'll take for the smokers to make it dirty and smell again *rollseyes* He also thought it'd be nice to tell us that they've moved the mocks forward this year so we will be doing them at the end of October/beginning of November time. I was quite tired after today even though I didn't have to get up until gone 9 as school didn't start until 11.45 today and I only had two lessons, tomorrow I'll have to be up before 8 and have 5 lessons and I've got another assembly- I think it'll be our head of year talking though not the headmaster although I'm not sure which is worse. I can't wait !!! It would be better if some of the people were different there but never mind, only one more year *rollseyes*.
A good side of school though- I got to buy a new fitted blazer and a new bag* which was a bargain at £5 !!! School does mean less time on the computer though so not sure how often I will be able to write in here.
I have got two days off after tomorrow though then I'll have a full week and then another. It will soon feel like I've never been away.

*I think I might write more about my bag and jacket obsession another day :-D lol
